All of the frames at Smith Brothers are built from the finest kiln-dried hardwood maple lumber and feature reinforced double-dowelled joints that are glued, screwed, and strengthened with corner blocks.

Along with built-in legs for extra stability, all of their frames built by Smith Brothers come with extra-strong front and back rails made using 1 1/4" maple lumber to provide superior strength and eliminate warping or twisting in the frame.

Smith Brothers luxury furniture is manufactured with superior individually supported coil spring suspension that utilizes pre-engineered heavy-gauge coils that provide uniform strength and rugged durability that will last for many years.

Your Furniture, Your Way

Choose from hundreds of frame styles, and personalize with custom toss pillows, fringe, welt cord, wood trim, nailhead, and even fabric or leather collaging. Fabric under seat cushions and behind back pillows gives full continuity even where it’s not immediately visible. Smith Brothers of Berne has about 900 fabrics and 100 leathers available so there is always a huge variety to choose from when designing your next custom piece of furniture.
